Wood Shop Fronts
Lodge Joinery can offer traditional designed wood shopfronts for business in Bristol, Bath and surrounding areas. This allows shops to uphold a traditional appearance and image and perhaps offer a more sophisticated and elegant welcome to customers. Wooden shop fronts are perhaps ideal in areas where planning issues arise due to location. Our highly skilled carpenters craft shop fronts in our Kingswood, Bristol workshop using quality woods. Wood is then finished in paint or stained in varnish. Laminate or double glassing can then be added depending on the requirements. Because we control the manufacture and fitting of the shop fronts we can really offer a truly bespoke service. Whilst the cost of having a wood shop front can be higher then aluminum or toughened glass fronts, a more elegant and timeless affect is created when using wood! If you are in Bristol or surrounding areas and in need of a wood shop front, then do consider Lodge Joinery. We have creating shop fronts since 1986 and have built a reputation for quality craftsmanship.

A little bit about the wood we use

At Lodge Joinery we have worked with all wood types. However, our wood of choice is now a softwood timber called “Accoya”, which is very durable and is guaranteed for 50 years.

Accoya has properties that match or exceed those of the best tropical hardwoods and treated woods, yet is manufactured using wood from sustainable sources.

Already the material of choice for a wide range of demanding outdoor applications, Accoya wood can be used for virtually anything from windows to doors, decking to cladding, bridges to boats and even for applications that are presently only feasible with non-sustainable and man-made materials.

Chrissie, Bath

Thank you very much for making the gate for Kelston Church yard and for incorporating the original iron work and following so sympathetically. Im sure it will be very much admired and appreciated, and a fitting tribute to my father-in-law who gave the old gate of my husband’s mother.

“Thanks for the completion of windows and french doors, we are really pleased with them! Thank you!”

Clive & Sinead Pucklechurch, Bristol

Andy Almondsbury, Bristol

“We are delighted with the quality, finish and appearance of the windows. The installed windows are already looking part of the original house and in the future we will not hesitate in returning to you for any additional windows we need… If any of your future customers need a reference please do not hesitate in providing them with my details”
