Expertly completing restoration work on listed and grade buildings and houses in and around Bristol since 1986.

Restorations Bristol
Based out of Bristol, Lodge Joinery is a family run business that has been expertly completing restoration work on listed and grade buildings and houses in and around Bristol since 1986. During this time we have worked on numerous listed houses and buildings, each with their own unique challenge. Primarily we specialize in total or partial restoration, helping fix, windows doors and other key components. If these parts are beyond repair we can replace with close replicas. These replacements are expertly crafted in our Kingswood Bristol workshop… replacement windows and doors are created using traditional methods and made by hand with care and attention. We regularly work closely with a variety of partners including trustees, planning and building control, conservation offices and anyone else involved in the particular project. We also work on non-listed classic buildings and houses from all time periods and years of experience help us ensure our work brings the property back to its former glory.

A little bit about the wood we use

At Lodge Joinery we have worked with all wood types. However, our wood of choice is now a softwood timber called “Accoya”, which is very durable and is guaranteed for 50 years.

Accoya has properties that match or exceed those of the best tropical hardwoods and treated woods, yet is manufactured using wood from sustainable sources.

Already the material of choice for a wide range of demanding outdoor applications, Accoya wood can be used for virtually anything from windows to doors, decking to cladding, bridges to boats and even for applications that are presently only feasible with non-sustainable and man-made materials.

Chrissie, Bath

Thank you very much for making the gate for Kelston Church yard and for incorporating the original iron work and following so sympathetically. Im sure it will be very much admired and appreciated, and a fitting tribute to my father-in-law who gave the old gate of my husband’s mother.

“We are delighted with the quality, finish and appearance of the windows. The installed windows are already looking part of the original house and in the future we will not hesitate in returning to you for any additional windows we need… If any of your future customers need a reference please do not hesitate in providing them with my details”
